Burdock root is known in
Japan as gobo. The young root is used as a cooked vegetable. Burdock
roots are rich in inulin, a source of fructooligosaccharides(FOS) which
enhance the growth of healthy bowel flora.
Burdock root supports the liver as an organ of detoxification. It is a nutritive blood purifier and is helpful for allergies, inflammation, and skin disorders. It is a urinary diuretic, alterative, and anti-inflammatory.
