In addition to being a delicious cooking spice, Oregano is a powerful antiseptic and particularly helpful for treating colds, cough, feverish conditions, and flu. It may be used as a mouthwash for oral infections and inflammatory conditions. It is excellent for disinfecting and healing wounds.
Oregano is a digestive stimulant and relieves gas & bloating. An infusion of Oregano is helpful for tension headaches; it may be taken internally or applied topically to the head. Oregano tea and essential oil may be used for massaging painful muscles and joints.
